The Indoor Units of Quilt's smart heat pump system are customizable, like built-in cabinetry. They come with either an oak or white front cover that can be painted or wall-papered to blend in with any interior, and their small size (7 ⅞ in tall) allows them to fit into tight spaces above windows and doors while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. How to paint your Quilt front cover: Supplies: -Primer -Dropcloth -Paint -Roller -Paint tray -A soft, clean cloth to wipe down the cover -Paint stick -Something to prop the cover on, like a couple small boxes Step 1: Prep -Remove the front cover from your indoor unit. -In a well-ventilated area, place your drop cloth, then prop the cover on top of the boxes to elevate it from the ground. -Use a soft, clean rag to wipe down the cover. Step 2: Prime -You can use spray or paint primer to primer the cover. We’re using Rust-oleum’s Painter’s Touch Ultracover Primer. -Follow the directions on the can to ensure an even application. -Allow the primer to dry completely before painting. Step 3: Paint -You can use any wall paint to paint the cover. We’re using ben by Benjamin Moore. -Using the paint stick, thoroughly mix the paint, especially if it’s been sitting around for a while unused. -Use the paint tray and a roller to apply the paint. -Depending on variables like color and brand of paint, you may need to apply 2 - 3 coats for full coverage. Allow the paint to dry completely, per instructions on the can, before applying the next coat. Step 4: Enjoy -Once the paint is completely dry, place the front cover back on the Indoor Unit. -Enjoy the smartest — and now most beautiful — way to heat and cool your home!
